Sydney is my cousin and Lauren is HER cousin. However, they have always basically been sisters. They are 4 years apart which means that Lauren is graduating Highschool and Sydney is Graduating college. So their family has a LOT to celebrate right now, and it was totally fitting that they get their senior photos done together.
I actually photographed Sydney at Gibbs High School 4 years ago for her senior photos. So I had a lot of deja vu when taking Lauren’s photos. Especially since Sydney came with us. We took quite a few cap and gown photos at Gibbs and then we moved on to UT to take Sydney’s photos.
Sydney was so excited to get to step on the medallion that only graduated seniors get to step on at UT. You can see the pure joy on her face in the photos of it. It may be pure superstition that you can’t walk on it until then, but the joy of finishing a degree is super real.
We finished the night downtown for a couple more portraits and then called it a day. It was super fun to get to spend some time with my cousin and with Lauren who I don’t get to see very often. Congrats on graduating you guys!!
